What Does it Cost to Attend Portland State University?
Portland State is committed to providing an excellent education at an affordable cost, along with the opportunities and connections that come with being located in one of the nation’s most exciting cities.

How to Pay?
There are a number of ways to cover the cost of your education at Portland State University. Whether it’s through grants, scholarships, or other sources of funding, we are here to help you plan how you’ll pay for school.

Apply for Financial Aid
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for financial aid. If you are not eligible to submit the FAFSA, you can submit the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA).

Apply for Scholarships
Use PSU Scholarship Universe to submit an application for the thousands of dollars in scholarships. By submitting an application, you will be considered for hundreds of PSU scholarship opportunities.

Manage Your Financial Aid
Once you’ve accepted your financial aid award, there are some things you’ll need to know and do to maintain your financial aid while at PSU.

Manage Your Bill
Billing statements are generated on the 16th of each month for every account with a balance. You can pay your bill in full at the beginning of each term or enroll in the PSU Payment Plan.

Visit the Financial Wellness Center
To get help with your student account, understanding your costs, or creating a budget to plan how you’ll pay, visit the Financial Wellness Center.
COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Funds
The CARES Act: Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) helped enrolled students with non-tuition education costs that arose as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic
